The Amazing Providence of God

The Amazing Providence of God Romans 8.28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. I am continually in awe of God. This is one of those things. Everything belongs. All things! How does He do it? It is beyond our finding out. He does it! If our hopes seem to be bringing disappointment right now, it simply means that they are being purified. Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and of God. But one of the greatest stresses in life is the stress of waiting for God. -Oswald Chambers * The workings of God Conflict: Light Shining Out Of Darkness God moves in a mysterious way,     His wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea,     And rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines     Of never failing skill; He treasures up his bright designs,     And works His sovereign will. Ye fearful saints fresh courage take,     The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy, and shall break     In blessings on your head. Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,     But trust him for his grace; Behind a frowning providence,     He hides a smiling face. His purposes will ripen fast,     Unfolding ev'ry hour; The bud may have a bitter taste,     But sweet will be the flow'r. Blind unbelief is sure to err,     And scan his work in vain; God is his own interpreter,     And he will make it plain. God works: help in work, be a partner in labor Put out power together, to assist *How He does it is a mystery. Isaiah 55.8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,     neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,     so are my ways higher than your ways     and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Don’t try and figure Romans 8.28 out because it beyond us. know= we perceive with our eyes and senses We don’t know how we just know He will. Electricity/ Combustion engine The working of God is an awesome thing. We need to trust him and enjoy the journey somehow He will take everything that happens to us and use it for our good and His glory. He knows everything. He knows the span of our life, the number of our days. Isaiah 25.1 O LORD, You are my God;     I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness     You have done wonderful things,     things planned long ago. He knows and He works. If we surrender we can get to perfect peace. We can have perfect love. Psalm 119. 65 Great peace have those who love your law,     and nothing can make them stumble. Isaiah 26.3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. This verse is for those who love Him. For the called ones. *This verse, Romans 8.28, is all about experiencing Experiential knowledge of these passages are the result of believing God is working all things together for our good. *It gives us peace. Peace beyond description and understanding. *Our faith grows. Through times when things do not seem to fit. *When we cannot trace His Hand we can always trust His heart. Things may be falling apart. We may cry, “Where are You, LORD?” or “What is going on? What are you doing, LORD?” We can say with Job, “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” Job 23.10 John 6. 5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” 6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do. * All Things... it is a great Promise... all things! Good Okay no problem there. Or is there? Yes there is. Israel’s problem. The blessings got their eyes off the LORD. So He mingles pleasure and pain and... Challenges Sorrow Failure "The freest person in the world is the one with an open heart , a broken spirit, and a new direction in which to travel." ~ Gordon MacDonald Harmonious all things work together Jacob said, “All things are against me.” It was opposite. Genesis 50.20 * Loved and Called People That is what we are. I John 3.1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! I Peter 2.9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Those who are the called according to His purposes are His servants. A servant is there to serve. He has no rights. He has one aim. To make his master happy. We know. We don’t know how He does it. We rest in Him.
