Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus of Nazareth Acts 22.1-9 Photo of Pastors in Kenya getting Bibles Pastor Daniel Saul of Tarsus meeting Jesus of Nazareth and The God of Heaven Jesus changes the direction of people’s lives. He is sending him to the Gentiles. This is a fulfillment of John 3.16 God so loved the world! Paul, the Apostle was carrying His love. Paul, the Apostle of the Heart Set Free God wants all to hear the Good News. * It is for all the people. Luke 2.10 Why the true House of God will be a House of Prayer for all Nations. 1,300 joined in our prayer meeting this Wednesday which is live-streamed. Nations asking for prayer. Note with me that this encounter with Jesus was very personal. The others did not understand the voice from Heaven, only Saul. Acts 22. 9 My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of Him who was speaking to me. Do not expect many or any to understand God’s voice to you. Hudson Taylor soon found out. If He told you what He was going to do, you would not believe it! How can you expect others to? Don’t frustrate yourself trying to explain dreams and visions from the LORD. When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus at night in Jerusalem (where we get much of our doctrine of being born from above/again in the Gospels), it was between the two of them. When Jesus spoke to the Woman at the well in Sychr it was just between Him and her in John 4 Jesus deals with all of us personally. *For Nicodemus it was theological issues. Notice he had the hardest time! *For the woman at the well it was about her 5 marriages and the man she was currently living with who was not her husband. She was living in sin *For Saul of Tarsus it was persecution of the Church, the Body of Christ. He kept the outward righteousness, but on the inside was so empty. Jesus of Nazareth… Came for all three and me and you and the whole world. From those with deep questions to those whose lives have been ravaged by sinful living. He is the Savior of the World, Jesus of Nazareth * Jesus Came From Heaven. John 1.14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling with us, and we have beheld His glory the glory of the One, and only Son that came from the Father, full of grace and truth. The Word moved into the neighborhood. MSG Nazareth From Heaven To Earth Not as a Christophony In the flesh through the birth like all of us. From Heaven He left its splendor. He left its perfection. He left its sinlessness. Holy, holy, holy Isaiah 6, Revelation 4 He left its Life. No death there We have beheld His Glory from the Manger to the Cross. * Jesus was born of Mary She was a virgin. She was from Nazareth, not the most desirable town in Israel… in fact one of the least! They traveled to Bethlehem where He was born. After a stay in Egypt they returned to Nazareth, where He grew up. The Virgin Birth Isaiah 7.14 Luke 1.26-38 This is how He entered the Human Race. He became like us. I Timothy 3. 16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh,
    was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
    was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory. It is a mystery. It is a secret of God. * Jesus Went About Doing Good Acts 10.38 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and Power. He went around, doing good and healing, all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him. Theos en meta autos God was with Him Emmanuel = God is with us. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John contain the record of this Bangladesh Blankets, Food, shoes Jesus of Nazareth worked in the Carpenters shop until He was 30. Then for 3 1/2 years He healed and spoke words that cheered and blessed the people. Let’s be like Him! Let God anoint you with the Holy Spirit and power. Go around doing good, praying for people to be healed. Be baptized with the Spirit! Luke 11.13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Follow Jesus Don’t just talk! Act! Those who just talk are not like Jesus. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned and the widows and orphans and proclaim the Gospel to the poor. * Jesus Came to Die On the Cross Nailed to it Shed His blood To save us from our sins He is the Savior of the world Whoever calls upon the Name of the LORD will be saved. Saved from their sins. Saved from death Saved to Eternal Life. Saved to the uttermost. Hebrews 7.25 * He Died But He Rose Again He is the Resurrection and the Life You cannot talk about His Death without His Resurrection He never did. He defeated death. I love the fact that when He answered Paul from Heaven he referred to Himself as “Jesus of Nazareth.” From Heaven! To Earth. Jesus, meek and mild and humble! Be like Him in His death and His Resurrection This is a season of life. Jesus has been born! Celebrate with me!
